heronqueenblues:

“New Population” by Contain, off of the soon-to-be-released GTB Records debut compilation Foreword.

I made this with a sampled piano, a sine wave generator played through two practice amps, my violin, a 2 liter pop bottle, a recording of silverware falling out of a drawer, and my trombone. The recordings were assembled and manipulated using Ableton Live.

I think it’s probably the prettiest piece I’ve ever made, I’m really really happy with it.

This gets a wildly enthusiastic Martin Douglas endorsement.
